The 26th convocation of the G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology held successfully in the benign presence of our Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Honorable Chancellor of the University Ms. Margaret Alva and Esteemable Vice Chancellor Dr. B. S. Bisht on June 19, 2010.

The convocation was held for conferring degrees of 17 different disciplines to the students (2005 Batch) who have completed their degree in the academic year 2008-09. On the occasion, Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was awarded by the degree of Master of Science.
In the ceremony, total 1005 students of the university were rewarded with their degrees. Along with the degrees 45 students were rewarded with different medals.

P.M. Dr. Manmohan Singh also complimented the G.B. Pant University for completing 50 years of its inception and for valuable contribution in making it one of the foremost institutions in the country for agricultural education and research.
Thus the event was held successfully under strict vigilance and excellent arrangements of the State police and administration.
