C.M. Jaccob College Library

As you know that a new element is added to infrastructure of our college: C.M. Jacob Library, named after the first dean of our College.

What do you expect from this library?

* We will get the books issued for our hostels from this library or not?
* We will not need to go to the University Library for our course books?
* We will be able to study there till 6 or 7pm after the college timings(9 to 5pm) or not like we are able to do in our University Library. Our administration allows us to study in University Library till 7-8 with providing us all the facilities (Generator, Reserve Book Section, etc.).

What do you expect???

as the college library i expect that we can books issued for our hostels.
i think that those books which are of our course should be transferred to the college library.
so that we dont have to go to the university library for rental books.
for other books i think university library is great.

as far as timing is concerned i think the college library should be opened till 9  at night.

I think this library should be a replacement for the university library and not an alternative to it, at least w.r.t. books related with our curriculum.

\Today I did spend some of my time in the library. And I was seriously disappointed. The seating space was less than 40, instead of having large variety of books there is more repetition of the same books. Several racks are still not arranged and even the size of room where the library is pretty small. Its timing are less than that of our college, which simply means if you don't have break in between your classes you can't visit it.

We cant even issue books

The library has just opened up for nothing........ Now we can say that we have library in our college.......... But the facilities are still not that good!!!!

As far as timing is concerned, this is an issue to be discussed and on other things kindly stop blaming the system as you have been doing for other facilities provided to us in the college. Didn't you think we have got a reading room in our college which is not available in the university library (where you go once a semester time just for rental books). instead of wasting time in cc,bc,pp or lc you can go and refer books there and the point of curriculum books in college library is impractical. This is will create an impression of isolation of our college from the university. let it be for refrences and silent study. Issue of space can resolved after observing the students' response and tell me one thing how many of those 40 seats are filled at any time of the day???

Just blaming at the facilities will not change anything. Respond to the things and be the change what you want.

ya u cant blame to the system for al of this...if u r able then u can get the benifits from the facilities which clg or university providing.////so plz aboid the blaming to the system and enjoy the facility which u have..

Some of the books there are very beneficial for us........

I just read a book on PHOTOSHOP CS3........ and it is quite good..... I learnt many things from it.......

I visited our college library today its really nice , it has good collectiion of books & a nice environmet to read . Sitting their i feel i was isolated from cot & was some where else .
One of the best of feature of our college.

At least there are Air Conditioners there....... just for a break you can go there.........
Thats the feature we dont have at the university library......

THe sitting space should be more , today i found rarely a seat to sit
library is attracting students towards it self sooner there will be requirements  of more no. of seat & more sitting space

It's really a great place.
All the books are new n useful.
