Hope this will help you all, Recently college have purchased some video Lectures from NPTEL. We have 3*500GB Hard disks for the same. We are currently in testing phase so first hard disk is implement for the moment and is working you can use them using following procedure.
I would like to suggest you kindly do not try to copy them. You/college are not allowed to distribute them instead you can use them any no of time Smiley

1). check if you have vlc, if you don't download it from http://10.1.1.45/download there are both version available if you have administration right use vlc, else use vlc portable
2). Now as you have vlc installed, naviagte to
Media-->Open Network Stream-->
select protocol rtsp and enter link in following syntax rtsp://IP_ADDR/BRANCH/COURSE_NAME/Lecture_No.mp4

where IP_ADDR=10.1.1.45

Branch can be
cse   ==Computer Science and Engineering
me     ==Mechanical Engineering
ce     ==Civil Engineering
ece  == Electronics
ee    == Electrical Engineering
crsc ==Core Science Courses

Course_Name can be

for CSE
ai   == Artificial Intelligence  (1-28)
icg == Introduction to computer graphics(1-36)
cg  == Computer Graphics(1-43)
dm == Discrete Mathematics(1-40)
psg ==power system generation transmission and distribution(1-35)
sad == system analysis and design(1-40)

For CE
fm  ==fluid Mechanics(1-41)
pcs ==Pre Stressed Concrete Structured(1-40)
sa  == Structural Analysis(1-40)

For ME
asm  ==Advanced Strength of Material (1-40)
mm   ==mechanical Measurement (1-50)
pm   == Project Management (1-41)
rac   == Refrigeration and Air Conditioning(1-46)

for ECE
dcs   ==Digital Circuits and Systems(1-40)
dsp   == Digital Signal Processing(1-43)
vlsi   ==digital VLSI system Design(1-55)
hsd   ==High Speed Devices(1-41)
ssd   == Solid State Devices(1-42)
wc    == Wireless Communication(1-39)

For EE
bet  ==Base Electrical Technology(1-40)  //lecture 2 is not available seperately but is combined with lecture no. 1 and is with a name of 1.mp4
ct   == Circuit Theory(1-51))
emf  == Electromagnetic Fields(1-42)
es   == Embedded Systems(1-37)
pe   == Power Electronics(1-37)
tl    ==Transimission Lines and Electromagnetic Waves(1-41)  //there were two lecture with the no. 1 and 16 so they are available with name of 1.mp4 and 1a.mp4 same is for 16.mp4 and 16a.mp4

for CRSC
be   == Basic Electronics (1-40)
bc   == Bio Chemistry(1-28)
cm  == Concept Management and Evolution of Management(1-40)
ec   == Engineering Chemistry(1-10)
nmp == Numerical methods and programming(1-38)
wwe == waste and waste water engineering(1-40)

and at last lecture_no can be any one from the bracket.

so for if i wish to see 5th lecture of Artificial Intelligence of Computer Engineering my url will be like
rtsp://10.1.1.45/cse/ai/5.mp4

It will be great if you can check the same and add some suggestions or point out some shortcomings to the same.

This is a how to use NPTEl video Lectures.
1). You will need vlc, if you have it skip this and jump to step 4 else

4). now open up vlc
5). navigate to media>open network stream
6). use rtsp as protocol and enter url of the video you would like to watch in address.

list of different videos available in alphabetic order is

2). computer engineering http://www.gbpuat-tech.ac.in/forum/index.php/topic,373.0.html
3). electrical engineering http://www.gbpuat-tech.ac.in/forum/index.php/topic,376.0.html
4). electronics engineering http://www.gbpuat-tech.ac.in/forum/index.php/topic,375.0.html
