There are rumours that gbpuat, pantnagar is going to be a central university.
What do you think what changes will occur if it is made a central university ?

our university will now not become a central university...it recently heard it from one of my friend that sharad powar  denied the proposal or whatever....

Dont know if the proposal was turned down or whatever..
but if it becomes a central university, more funds are to come in..
however i still wonder how much of them will be "utilised" in the favour of "COT"... Huh? Huh?

can't say abt that. sum times this rumour heard that it is going to be a central univerisity but there is no out cum.
hope that soon it will become a central univerisity.

yeah NIT tag matters a lot but i don't think that it will become a NIT.

ya the mood of our univ. administration is not in the favour of being a central university as they will not get the funds by the state govt. of uttarakhand,which are far more than what they will get after becoming a central university.
currently a large share of uttarakhand govt. education is spent only on pantnagar.
