Stem 07
Technology is not just all about tracing the predetermined path or plain genius. It’s also about converting ideas into concrete realities that revolutionaries the way we live or analyze. However illogical this may seem, it’s also about instinct innovation and perspiration.
Realizing the need to keep pace with ever expanding horizons of technology, the need to equip ourselves with knowledge of potential challenges and their solutions, the need to explore the avenues of these cutting edge technologies, a national conference STEM-07 was organized from 29th to 30th of October ’07 in campus. The conference on State of art Technologies in Mechanical Engineering was a joint venture of the departments of Mechanical & Products Engineering, with a vision to acquaint the students with the emerging areas of research and provide a platform for industry-institution interaction. It covered a wide spectrum of topics in the field of Mechanical and Production Engineering & nanotechnology like material development, failure analysis, automation, robotics, thermal management using nanotechnology and a variety of others.
With about 100 research papers from all over the nation, STEM was a huge success, a capsule of knowledge especially for the core branches. The faculty and students expressed immense enthusiasm and swarmed in all the parallel session. The potential solutions to present industrial challenges were carefully scrutinized, the explanations being judged by the experts of the field.
A collective endeavors to give a better direction to our thought process, STEM was indeed a phenomenal success – a multidimensional views of the application of knowledge because we have to grow beyond our work, walk up the stairs of concepts & emerge ahead of ours accomplishments!!!
