The main task of an institution of higher learning is to develop competent manpower through it’s excellence in academics .In the process it inculcates a ‘culture and spirit’ in its students which embodies their personality. The students during their stay in the institution develop a sense of belonging to it which becomes deeper on graduation. Since the graduates bear the name of their institution with them for the rest of their life, and heir own reputation is influenced by reputation of their ALMA MATER, the alumni always wish for growth and greater recognition of their ALMA MATER. Continued interaction between alumni and institution is thus healthy and positive step in mutual interest of both.

Our alumni have played a leading role in shaping the vision of our college i.e. to produce best engineers of the world. Owing to their hard work and determination our alumni are presently holding very respectable positions with renowned organizations in the world. They have been successful in all walks of life. They have been a great source of inspiration and motivation for us.

As a result of various discussions held with our alumni we all felt the need of central platform where we can stand together to fight for the cause of our alma-mater. This led to the formation of Pantnagar Technology Alumni Association (PTAA) in the year 2005. Major objective of PTAA is bridging the gap between the alumni and the college.

Objectives:

1 To liaise with the alumni and maintain information on their professional achievements and other activities.
2 To communicate with the alumni for the development of the College and the University.
3 To organize activities for a close interaction between alumni and their ALMA MATER for mutual betterment.
4   To organize Welfare activities for the benefit of Alumni and students.

Membership:

1. The fee for life membership of Technology alumni Association will be charged at the time a persons registers in College of Technology in First year. The fee is Rs. 1100. If in any case the student leaves the college before graduation the entire fee will be refunded.
2. The Life membership or honorary membership of Association can be applied for by submitting single copy of completed membership form along with the membership fee of Rs 1100 for persons residing in India and US $ 100 for persons residing abroad. The membership fee includes one time registration fee of Rs 100 (US $5) and life membership charges of Rs 1000 (US $45).
3. The form can be obtained at the Alumni Association office, College of Technology, G B P U A T, Pantnagar or downloaded from college website.
