A Celebration of the essence of dance, drama and music…A tribute to the likes of Shakespeare, Picasso and Shelly…An effort to depict the true spirit of art. College of Technology organized a three day Cultural Festival that was a platform for the students to showcase their latent talent. Reflecting the soul of dance, the grit of music and the treasure of art came ‘ACCOLADE’07’ …an event that brought inexorable smiles to one and all. 
     
Music has been one of the most beautiful modes of expressing different human moods since ages…from love to hatred, belongingness to hostility, devotion to passion …music entraps in itself the gist of life. Vocalization of such pure emotions and feelings was ‘MALHAAR’ – the singing competition that gave a glimpse of soulful melody. Encompassing various forms of dances, the grand event ‘UTOPIA’ that was a beautiful blend of all times, reached out to each and everyone. On one side the folk and cultural dances portrayed the richness of the great Indian heritage and on the other the western dances gave us a glimpse of upcoming times. Theatre events in ‘THEATRIX’ embraced every genre ranging from original scripts to classics adorned with satire, comedy, drama and tragedy

Rock Band Performance in Accolade

‘VAASTU’ featuring fine arts with more than 10 events and 500 participants was the hub of frantic activities during the whole day… There was pouring, mixing, splashing, brushing of thoughts with colours and variegated walls were ready. Various personas were presented with Tattoo-making and Face painting competitions. The trendy and innovative ideas were on the floor. Rangoli were full of creative fantasia and soon the college campus became an artist’s canvas that portrayed life with the colours of imagination.

And then came the roisterous ‘DECIBEL’- the rock band competition. The vibrations of strings and heart throbbing beats of drums reciprocated the capability to play in maximum decibels. It showcased the ultimate potential of rocking idols with their blast of flabbergasting music.

Accolade, thus, succeeded in setting up an extraordinary benchmark for sumptuous and extravagant events in the cultural calendar that gave a new dimension to the world of artiste.
