And off the curtains… here again knocks an event to shake the college corridors. And to have the students rolling in utter frenzy we’re talking about an event organized by the engineering society. Vastu a novel step taken by the logistics bureau. A string with beads of wall, painting, clay modeling, rangoli & tattoo makingshowcasing immense diversity to keep you marveling at. It reveled as well as revived the aesthetic sense, the craftsmanship (& not to forget those crazy curves with weird color combos). No it’s not an exaggeration nor even something near to it. It was an event teaming with flavors, creativity, Species of colors & a pinch of “tashan” (as referred to style in Pantnagar).

Thanks to vastu, the mundaneness of the simply plain walls of the college got shoved aside by some brisk strokes of brushes… some colors of tashan- yup, you guessed it right! This was the theme of the wall painting, the output of which made us feel right from the core of our hearts that it was indeed an ingenuous effort.

The event attracted students in droves & witnessed stupendous participation. From the greenhorns to the tyro, everybody simply flooded in to unravel the mystery of some of their very own colors of originality. No one was less than a zealot exploring his/her knack for the finer side of life.

One the ground one could descry the harvest of rangoli- from the intricately carved out designs to the meticulous channeling of colors. Similar was the spectacle in the tattoo making arena. The bizarre clay models left one & all in speculation. Gingerly shapes, sincerely molded amateur efforts but all laudable.
The crux of the event lay in the inner gratification one achieved in expressing oneself & of course the fun of working together was pretty evident after all this is the “ raison detre” of our lives.
Yes... Vastu was indubitably a rejuvenation of one’s own creative artifice!! Eventually... a sense of elegance is all that outlasts.
