Moksha
– crossing the horizons of salvation,
the cultural night was organized by the Cultural
bureau on 24th March’06 in Gandhi auditorium. A
famous dance troupe from Haldwani named ‘NUPUR’
had been invited to perform. The evening started with a Ganesh Vandana
performed by the members of the troupe. Then came a Punjabi
folk dance which mesmerized the audience. This was followed
by a performance which was a synchronized fusion of western and classical
dance. Next they danced to the beats of a very popular number by the
‘Band of Boys’. The show came to an end with a traditional
Rajasthani folk dance. Their props and
attires were a perfect match to their performances and thus gave an
extra touch to the show.
There
were also some fillers performed by the students of college of technology
which included a fashion show, Hindi and English
songs. A special performance by Mr. Kamal Pant was also their
which left the audience spell-bound. In all , the show was appreciated
by all and thus, was a great success.
