GUEST LECTURE BY MR. ANURUDH GUPTA

            It was a matter of complete pleasure and great honor for Alumni Cell to welcome their alumnus Mr. Anurudh Gupta, Civil Engineering Department, Batch 2000. He is presently working as a recruiting officer in HCL Technologies and is stationed in Gurgaon. He visited the college on November 12, 2005 with his wife.
            Mr. Gupta shared his personal experiences of college days and after he got placed in HCL Technologies, with the students. He briefed the students about how the preparation should be done for getting placed in different companies. He invited questions from students and answered them promptly along with advises on various other issues that would help students in attaining placements in future.
            The session continued for about an hour and a half and everyone gained from his guidance and experiences. Alumni like Mr. Anurudh Gupta, who have left behind a legacy of achievements, are the torch bearers who show us the way and guide us about life after four years in College.

PERSONALITY WORKSHOP

“Personality has the power to open many doors”, as the saying goes and it’s quite true, as a strong positive self-images the best possible preparation for successes in life. As an affirmation to this belief, a six days personality development workshop was conducted from 18th-20th and 26th-28th of Nov.’05 in the College of Technology. The workshop was organized by Mr. H.L. Mandoria, Professor in Computer Department and was attended by Dr. R.C.S. Mehta, Dean COT and Mr. J.B.Singh, Dean Students’ Welfare. A distinguished team from Delhi Comprising of Mr. Ashutosh Malik, Director of ASTRUM SERECON and Mr. Rekha Shorey, a noted career counselor conducted the workshop under their able supervision. It was great to have Mr. Malik here, an alumnus of our college who reminisced about his days in college and professed his elation at being able to contribute something to his alma-mater from his experience in business world.
The workshop was a valuable and rewarding experience for all. It was an interactive session, various activities focusing on development of behavioral skills and confidence building were undertaken. Apart from these there were tips on conducting presentations, group discussions and business related activities. Personality affects every aspect of human behavior and such guest lectures are the building blocks of this core exigency.
