Events that brightened up the stars

And results in the twilight brought forth the stars

With the College’s flag flying high

With it’s prints all over this blue sky

       
                   COLOSSEUM'05 , A National Level Technical Fest was successfully organized from 18th-20th February,05.The Mega event marked a new high in the history of our esteemed institution in whose edifice we stand tall and proud. The event witnessed a flurry of activities in including workshops by experts ranging from technical topics to spiritual knowledge.Our esteemed Alumnus Mr. Robindra Sachdev also took a special workshop on Entrepreneurship.

 

The Main events in COLOSEUM 05 were

 

  1. ABHIVYAKTI – The Paper Presentation Contest. 

   156 Technical Papers in four different sections were presented by students of 16 different Colleges.

 

  1. RANBHUMI – The Robotics contest.

          There were a 100 entries in three different sections of the robotics contest. Ranbhumi witnessed an interesting competition with displays of robotic efficiency and ingenuity of young creative minds.

 

  1. JUGAT – Mechanical Assembly-Disassembly Contest.

    A unique idea to test the familiarity of the budding engineers with the actual practical assemblies.

 

  1. SANRACHNA - The Model contest.

    A variety of models from sections as diverse as Electronic Traffic Control to the Civil Engg related dam

 

  1. ALGOHOLICS – The Open Software Competition.

          The IT experts of tomorrow got to battle it out in the arena of the Software world.

 

  1. AURUM – The Personality Contest.

          The candidates went through various rounds where they were tested on their  intellect, interpersonal skills and thought process besides communication skills.

 

7.  LITERARY EVENTS like BLITZKREIG (the Quiz Contest) and ICONOCLASM (the Case Study) forced the participants to explore the depths of their knowledge about facts, current affairs and management skills.           

 

 

The “Tech Nite” DHOOM witnessed a plethora of euphoria and ebullience and the guest participants as well as the students of the College Of Technology Enjoyed themselves immensely. It was a true musical bonanza.

 

 

                  COLOSSEUM '05 witnessed a coalescence of  the best o talent, the delusive challenger and the ingenious solutions. It embarked on a new odyssey to broader horizons and a universal outlook in the engineers and the citizens of tomorrow.
