Yuva'09 the youth awakening festival was organized by the collaboration of Vivekanand Swadhyay Mandal and Sanskritik Chetna, Pantnagar.
The fest commenced on 16th January, the birthday of Swami Vivekanand and continued till 23rd January, the birthday of Subhash Chandra Bose and was totally based on the theme "national security and youth rolls".
Starting with an enthusiastic rally on national security, which was presided over by the CBI Director Dr. Joginder Singh. The total fest comprised of a number of exciting events.
Symposium-The open discussion to place on the very debatable topic- National Security And Youth; where we heard the inspiring ideas of Dr. K.P. Sinha, the Former Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and Assam. The central topic for symposium was- Who is responsible for internal security of country-Government or the Citizen ?
Students from Aligarh Muslim University, Pune University, Assam University & UTU visited Pantnagar to witness the symposium and during their stay blessed the whole discussion with their innovative ideas and views.
Apart from the basic discussion, a cultural night was also organized, where an enthralling performance by the Gawarhiya Troupe of Rajasthan took place. The whole performance was based on the sole theme of massacre of Jaipur and Mumbai blast.
Netritva - The leadership hunt was also held which comprised of a number of surveys to be conducted, formation of new postulates and declaration of a new mission.
The whole fest aimed to instill in us- the youth, the feeling of responsibility to come up and take our decisions ourselves, to combat terrorism and to lead India to newer horizons. After all, what we need is activity.
India needs YUVA....
