The kite making and flying competition was organized by Logistics Bureau on the day of the Techfair. The event turned out to be a grand success as the Bureau provided another option to the large gatherings apart from dancing near the request stall. The Bureau came out with another innovative idea of organizing the compatibility test which was very much enjoyed by the students.

Neev

Neev, the paper presentation contest, was organized by NIRMAAN, the Civil Engineering branch chapter, on 19th Jan, 2008. Neev is a benefactor for those engaged in the research work, touching different aspects of evolving technologies.

The judging criteria were based on the conduct, timing, queries and expressions of each team which include a maximum of two participations. The event culminated with various valuable suggestions from the judges

Howzzat!!

‘Sprinkler’ Society of Agricultural Engineering organized events which took the monotonous college life for a roller coaster ride. Matrix was organized in October with an aim to check the aptitude and IQ levels of the students of our college. Overwhelming participation of the student made the event a grade event. HOWZATT ’08, which proved to be another feather in the cap of Sprinkler society as the participation created new records. This event proved why cricket is called a religion of India.

Srijan

Aimed to bring the best out of the student’s intellect and to recognize and appreciate their talents, SRIJAN ’08 was an endeavor by ‘Interface’ – the Branch Chapter of Computer Engineering. It conducted events on 26th and 27th Jan., 2008.
The annual creativity fest was inaugurated by Dr. Subir Ray, Ex Prof & Head department of Electrical Engineering. The fest featured Rangoli competition, Dard-E-Shayari, Art competition, Mock Placement Test, Fun Racing, G.K. Competition, and a stone Painting competition, where the artists seemed to revive the Stone Age when they gave life to the pebbles with their colours. Once again, Srijan was successful in continuing the legacy of innovation and ethos among the College students.

Animax

‘Animax’, the workshop on flash was conducted on 8th February along with a practical session on 9th February. The workshop turned out to be a grand success as 201B was flooded with students desperate to learn the basics of animation.
‘Cricket-O-Mania’, was organized by PLEXUS on 22nd September, 2007. on lines of simple but interesting rules, this event was conducted in three categories - ‘Power Play’, ’Maiden Over’ & ‘ Free Hit’. While Power Play consisted of a team of 4 boys, Maiden over consisted of 4 girls per team. Free Hit consisted of two girls and two boys each. This enthralling event witnesses a large crowd and was full of entertainment.
