I, Dr Akhilesh Kumar, as Training and Placement Officer of the college extend a very cordial invitation to all the potential employers to kindly visit the college for getting acquaintance with the academic environment & other infrastructural support base available in the college and also for campus recruitment. However, for mutual convenience before commencing the visit the program needs confirmation.

Introduction

The College of technology has its own Training & Placement cell. It facilitates the graduate students of the college for the placements in various national and international organizations in the corporate world,Public Sector Undertakings etc. through campus selection process. In addition to it, there is a directorate of Placement & Counselling at the university level headed by a Director of the rank of Professor. A Professor from College of Technology is working as Joint Director in the directorate.

Aim

The main aim of the placement cell is to act as contact place and facilitator to arrange campus visits and conduct of recruitment process of the prospective employers for the purposeful placement of graduating students of the college. The cell also seeks opportunities for the betterment of institute and industry interaction through participation in institute-industry-interaction programs and by inviting experts from the industry and related fields to deliver guest lectures on various aspects and also provides guidance to students for their better placement and careers.

Procedure

Perspective employees intimate about their human resource and other requirements to the cell.The desired information are then compiled and sent to them on an earliest possible. After consultation,a mutually convenient date is agreed upon to conduct the selection process either at the college of Technology, Pantnagar or at any place as desired by employers. Accordingly, concerned students participate in the selection process at the stipulated date, time and place.

Facilities

For the selection process being conducted at the University Campus Pantnagar, the members of the visiting teams are considered as university guests and are provided with free boarding & lodging facilities in the university guest house including other local hospitality.Based on the nature of selection process all arrangements for On Line Test, Multimedia Presentation for Pre–Placement Talk, Written Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interviews etc. are made available.
